The Liturgy Is Integral to Our Canonical Life and Mission
As is proper to the canonical life, we are devoted to the sacred liturgy. This is lived out first of all through our attention and care in celebrating the liturgy. But our charism calls us not only to the faithful celebration of the liturgy of the Church within our community, but also to our apostolate of renewing and promoting the sacred liturgy among the faithful. It calls for a new evangelization, a fresh and deeper conversion to the Lord in and through the mystery of the liturgy. This is our particular mission in the Church.

Why Our Liturgical Apostolate Is Important
Our apostolic goal is that each person may know and love the One Triune God and recognize the gift of redemption he accomplishes for us in the liturgy. Our mission is to bring the sacred liturgy to the people and the people to the sacred liturgy, so that one day all may be one in the Trinity forever. To offer worthy worship to God according to the mind of the Church; to be apostles of the liturgy; to draw others to the source of the true Christian spirit of the Beatitudes; to bring truth and healing to replace misunderstandings, abuses and heartaches; to build unity where there have been divisions; to increase understanding where there has been simple ignorance; to enhance reverence and nobility where there has been a loss of the sacred...this is our call. This is our life. This is our mission.

Collaboration in the Liturgical Apostolate
The intention of the Order is to engage in whatever means possible that will contribute to the building up and promotion of the sacred liturgy. This involves discerning the gifts and talents of the members of the Order and the avenues for carrying out our mission through our liturgical apostolate in unfolding circumstances. As the men’s branch and the lay association get underway, we will all collaborate in the works of the liturgical apostolate as much as possible.

How We Carry Out Our Liturgical Apostolate
Since the Order is at the very beginning of its existence with its first member, the apostolate is exercised primarily, though not only, in the form of liturgical catechesis, particularly through the diocesan Office of Worship.

So that a more beautiful celebration and deeper understanding of the sacred liturgy may be fostered among the faithful, as membership in the Order grows, the members will pursue the education and training necessary to engage in our liturgical apostolate. For all members this will involve academic preparation particularly in the areas of theology and liturgy. This is essential for all the members, but especially for those who are involved in liturgical catechesis and evangelization.

In light of the gifts and talents of individual members, training in technical skills will also be part of the preparation for serving in the liturgical apostolate. We will engage in whatever activities serve to enhance and promote a deeper interior and exterior participation in the sacred liturgy. Such things may include the liturgical arts, for example, liturgical music or the visual arts. Singers, instrumentalists, composers, artists, architects, tailors, artisans, etc. who desire to put their God-given gifts at the service of the Lord for the glory of the Trinity and for the salvation of others will find a place in the community’s apostolate.
